My Inspirations

I  love to practice yoga and I love to teach yoga. When you come to my classes, watch out…my enthusiasm is contagious!!

You are invited to join in my creative, flowing classes. In all of my classes, my teaching style incorporates inspiration from 7 years of studying Anusara Yoga. Hatha classes have a moderate to active pace with some challenges and a deluxe relaxation. Ashtanga adds more challenges and cardiovascular strengthening. Come experience it for yourself, you'll be glad you did!

 After founding and running Yoga Vista from 2001-2006, I sold the studio to spend more time with my new baby son, Wilson and beloved husband Coby.  We are expecting a baby girl in April 2008.

I now serve as the Yoga Director of Yoga Branch at Vista Jazzercise and will lead my 2008 "Roots and Wings Yoga" Teacher Training there. It is gratifying and so rewarding to be able to share with others what many inspiring teachers have taught me…and to guide devoted new teachers on how to instruct a safe, effective Yoga Class!

 I have been teaching since 1989 when I was hired as a Teaching Assistant at the University   of Windsor, Canada, in the Political Science Department. I later got a second degree in Education there (and took my first Yoga class!). I come from a family of dedicated teachers and was able to travel extensively and live in Asia for 2 years while teaching English in Indonesia and Japan in the early 1990's. I feel fortunate that teaching yoga has been my full time occupation since 1999.   See you on the mat!

Success

To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people
And the affection of children;

To earn the appreciation
Of honest critics
And endure the betrayal
Of false friends;

To appreciate beauty,
To find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better
Whether by a healthy child,
A garden patch,
Or a redeemed social condition;

To know even one life had breathed easier Because you have lived.
That is to have succeeded.

Ralph Waldo Emerson
